The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily sassa basis. The provider place established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
